Mum Sale 2010

The 23rd annual Mum Sale will be held on the weekend of September 11th and 12th. Join communities of faith from all over West Hartford as we support counseling and outreach efforts while beautifying our town. Mums will also be available for purchase on Monday, September 13th in front of the Crown Supermarket and Hall's Market. |
September Television Show
Please join Executive Director Cruger Phillips and her guests Hyde School Head and parenting expert Laura Gauld and HopeWorks staff member Molly Reynolds . The show will air on WHC-TV Channel 5 on Friday, September 10th at 8pm, Wednesday, September 22nd at 8:00pm and Wednesday, September 29th at 9:00pm.
Parent Workshop at Kingswood-Oxford School, Oct 19th at 7pm
You are invited to come to an interactive parenting workshop led by nationally known parenting expert Laura Gauld. The workshop will be held on October 19, 2010 at 7pm in the evening at the Roberts Theater on the Kingswood-Oxford campus. Laura is the co-author of The Biggest Job We'll Ever Have, and an engaging and inspiring speaker. In addition to being the mother of three teenagers, she is the Head of School at Hyde School in Woodstock, CT.

The Eleventh Annual Mayors Charity Ball was held on February 6th, 2010 at The Hartford Golf Club. Over 300 guests enjoyed an evening which celebrated our wonderful community. Emcees Brade Drazen and David Steinberg did a masterful job evoking the qualities which make West Hartford a truly special place. One of the highlights of the evening was a performance by Mayor Scott Slifka and former Mayors Jonathan Harris and Katie Reynolds who reincarnated The Blues Brothers in their rendition of Mayor Man. We thank our partner, The Grounds, for their cameraderie and collaboration. Most importantly, we thank all who attended and our many sponsors and auction donors for their wonderful support.
